Project Cradle

Project Cradle's 2010 Beach Party sponsored by OrchidMania South Florida
Project Cradle’s mission is to improve the quality of life of the many children living with HIV/AIDS in South Florida. Unfortunately, the non-medical needs of these children are often overlooked. Project Cradle provides support for direct services including vital day-to-day needs such as bus fare to medical appointments, emergency money for food, rent, and even funeral expenses to children affected by HIV/AIDS.
Project Cradle is an affiliated volunteer organization of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics.
Throughout the year, we plan various educational activities and excursions in an effort to provide “joy-time” for the children and teenagers. These activities include:
· Attendance at Camp Boggy Creek, a summer camp located north of Orlando
· Annual Beach Party
· Weekly youth support group
· Visits to museums and other local attractions
· Health promotion and Life-skills workshops
